LCP was founded May 15, 1994, and officially registered as a non – governmental organization (NGO) in June 2001, with the Government of the Republic of Liberia.

From its year of establishment, LCP have been in existence for more than two-
decades now contributing to peace restoration and the overall national development of Liberia. 

Bridging Communities and Partnerships for Sustainable Development in Liberia.

Our extensive experience in social mobilization, awareness, community engagement and outreach including branding and knowledge of the local context serve as a link to establishing local and international partnerships, as well as, to complement the efforts of the Government of Liberia to deliver on interventions of developmental nature.

Structure and Local Presence

LCP has Board of Directors and a Management Team headed by its Executive Director and supported by 42-
administrative staff at headquarter level, 72- animators and dramatists, 11 band members, over 2000 volunteers
of communicators and mobilizers and 30 supervisors across Liberia;

LCP Headquarters or main office complex is located on Capitol Bye-pass in Monrovia with visible sub offices in
eight counties (Bomi, Nimba, Bong, Grand Bassa, Grand Gedeh, Lofa, Grand Cape Mount and Margibi
Counties), with structures and networks across the 15 political subdivisions of Liberia. LCP have strategic
alliances with local and/or community-based groups including traditional leaders, religious leaders, women and
youth groups, media institutions and executives/personalities, county authorities.

Our cadre of staff has practical models to guide planning and implementation of projects, programs, and branding
activities including our current FGM intervention with UN Women Liberia that come through its portfolio of programs.
Besides national engagement, LCP has participated in several international events and conferences to share lessons
learned and catalogue experiences. Some of those meetings and conferences include:
